Concept Development

• Develop product concept designs including accessories and line extensions
   
• Design and build working prototypes for market research and engineering proof-of-concept
   
• Liason with patent attorney to submit patent and trademark applications
   
• Work with manufacturing groups to estimate product costs
   
• Assist in the development of copy and digital media for brochures, print ads, product videos, website graphics, trade shows, investor presentations, etc.

Engineering Design & Tooling

• Generate and approve detail engineering drawings and 3D models, and release to tooling and manufacturing both domestically and overseas
   
• Establish engineering documentation standards, generate part numbering system and detail parts lists
   
• Write manufacturing specifications for outsourced mechanical and electronic components
   
• Resolve tooling and manufacturing issues On Site in Asia
   
• Direct graphic artists to develop product artwork and labeling including FCC and safety warnings
   
• Direct sculptors and artists to create product tooling masters for production tooling
   
• Assist manufacturing groups to design efficient retail packaging, case packs, pallet loading and container loading
   
• Work with manufacturing and tooling suppliers to oversee building of production tooling. Direct the qualification process for the production tooling (tool debug) and the finished product (product debug)
   
• Define UPC codes in GS1 system and generating barcode graphics
   
• Direct artwork and copy for multi-language instructions booklets
   
• Interface with UL and other independent test labs to test and certify electrical products in Taiwan, China and the US

Business Start Up Support

• Interface with shipping logistics companies and arrange for port transfers and customs clearance
   
• Secure customs bonds and binding tariff rulings
   
• Draft incoming product acceptance standards
   
• Set up purchasing and order fulfillment procedures in Quickbooks
   
• Set up inventory tracking data in Quickbooks
   
• Organize warranty repair operation and establish repair standards and procedures
   
• Create training materials for authorized repair facilities
